The City of Lakeway is located to the West of Austin between RR 620 and Lake Travis. Although it was once known as something of a retirement area, it now stands on it's own as a viable "full service" community. Part of the highly rated Lake Travis Independent School District, families living there can be confident that an excellent education will be available to their children.
Abundant shopping and services are located right there, along with golf courses, swimming, boating and other recreational activities. There's even a private airport for all of you pilots! The new upscale Hill Country Galleria Mall is less than 5 miles away as well.
Travel time to either Downtown Austin or Austin Bergstrom Airport is approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on the time of day and traffic.
You'll find an eclectic mix of homes, ranging from the low $200's to well over $1 million. Property taxes range from 2%-2.4% of actual value, depending on the exact location and available services.
